Women's Varsity Tramples Trine in First Game of 20-21

The Women's NCAA team squared off against Trine University this Sunday afternoon in the first women's college hockey game since March.


Freshman Emma Corbett would snag her first Bulldog goal at the 9:19 mark of the first period. Reaghan Pietrowski and Brooke Schembri would assist. Abbie Grias would add another powerplay goal three minutes later with the lone assist going to Schembri. Lindsey Sorrell would add one at even strength at the 14:30 mark to give the Bulldogs a 3-0 lead. Kaleigh Cadorette and Callie Wolschlager would assist.


Pietrowski would score a goal of her own at the 7:13 mark of the second period on the powerplay. Grias and Schembri would add the assists. Cadorette would grab one of her own as well in the second with the lone assist going to Wollschlager. The Thunder would cut the Bulldog lead to 5-1 at the 12:35 mark but Neysa Miller would answer with a shorthanded goal. Sydney Daversa would assist on the shorthanded goal. After two, the Bulldogs would lead 6-1.


Miller would score her second of the game at the 4:22 mark while even strength. Pietrowski and Jessica Anderson would assist. Schembri would add a powerplay goal at the 7:07 mark with assists from Grias and Anderson.


Final score Sunday afternoon would be 8-1 in favor of the Bulldogs with Sophie Goldberg picking up the win in net for the Bulldogs.


The Bulldogs are back in action on the road against Trine on Friday, November 6th. They're back on home ice on Saturday, November 7th when they face the Thunder once again.
