MD2 Bounces Back with Shutout of Trine








The MD2 team took on Trine University this weekend in a home at home series. They first travelled to Angola, Indiana on Saturday afternoon where they fell to the Thunder by a score of 8-3, before coming back to play at Arrington Ice Arena Sunday afternoon.


The Bulldogs would score first Sunday evening at Arrington Ice Arena 14:14 with captain Alex Sode notching the first goal of the game. jiri Sup would add to the score on the powerplay with 15:51 gone in the first period. After two, the Bulldogs would lead 2-0.


Logan Eggleston would finish off a beautiful play from Sode with 3:29 gone in the second period. Sode would notch the assist. Devin Whittaker would make things 4-0 on the powerpaly with 16:13 elapsed in the second period.


Sode would snag his second of the night with 6:30 gone in the third period. Mitch Kellerman would score the last goal of the game with 7:50 gone in the third period to cap things off at 6-0.


CJ Sheridan would pick up his first career shutout in the win on Sunday evening, stopping all 38 shots he faced.


The Bulldogs wrap up the regular season next weekend with one last home at home series with the Trine Thunder with the finale coming next Sunday as they honor the Class of 2021, the team's first recruiting class.
