MD1 Scores 4 unanswered to best Indiana tech
The MD1 team took on the Indiana Tech Warriors for the third time this season at Arrington Ice Arena in a rare Wednesday night matchup in Adrian.
The two teams went scoreless through one before the Bulldogs found themselves in unfamiliar territory, chasing a 0-1 deficit heading into the third period of play.
Manny Silverio would knot things up at the 8:43 mark of the final frame off of a powerplay goal. Connor Smith and Chris Donaldson would assist. Austin Kuhn would secure a Bulldog lead a minute later with an assist from Dylan Kent. Donaldson would add a goal of his own at the 14:18 mark of the third period with the lone assist going to Matteo DiGiulio. Silverio would notch a second goal less than a minute later to seal the deal for a 4-1 Bulldog victory. Sam Spaedt and Brodie Thornton would assist.
Final score Wednesday night at Arrington Ice Arena would be 4-1 in favor of the Bulldogs with Mike Barrett picking up the win in net with 22 saves.
The Bulldog face the Purdue Northwestern on Sunday at home at 4:00pm.
