18 Players Register a Point in #1 MD1's Sweep of Eagles

The #1 ranked MD1 team took on the Eastern Michigan University Eagles in the first of a two game home-at-home series with their GLCHL opponent.
Alec Daman would break the ice at the 6:06 mark of the first period with his fifth goal of the season. Marcel Kottek would grab the lone assist. Mark Fratarcangeli would make things 2-0 Bulldogs with 11:21 gone in the first period with assists from Tyler Fyfe and Henrik Overvall. Fratarcangeli would then assist on Rainer Glimpel's third of the season for a 3-0 Bulldog lead. Dan Stone would snag his third of the year with 1:11 left in the first period off of an unassisted effort. Connor Smith would add his team leading thirteenth goal of the season thirty seconds later to give the Bulldogs a hefty 5-0 lead heading into the second period. Stone would collect the assist on Smith's goal.
Glimpel would net his second of the game at the 4:59 mark of the second period with the lone assist going to Manny Silverio. Silverio would then net his first of the night three minutes later with the assists going to Glimpel and Kottek. With the assist on Silverio's goal, captain Rainer Glimpel became the seventh player in team history to reach the 150 point mark in his career. Silverio's second of the night would come later on in the second period at the 14:22 mark with assists going to Glimpel and Chris Donaldson. Daman would notch his second of the game on a shorthanded breakaway to make things 9-0 in favor of the Bulldogs. Smith would add his second of the night as well before the period's end with a powerplay goal and the tenth goal of the game. After two, the Bulldogs would lead 10-0.
Stone would pick up his second goal of the game and fourth of the season at the 11:24 mark of the third period, again on an unassisted effort. Silverio would complete the hat trick two minutes later with an assist from Donaldson.
That would be all she wrote Thursday night at Arrington Ice Arena with the final score being 12-0 in favor of the Bulldogs with Eric Schuch picking up the shutout, turning away all 19 shots faced while the Bulldogs racked up 98 shots on goal against the Eagles.
Chris Donaldson would pick up the first goal of the night on Friday night with only eight seconds gone in the first period. Rainer Glimpel and Manny Silverio would assist. Kyle Perkowski would make things 2-0 Bulldogs while shorthanded at the 1:14 mark of the first. Sheldon Nolan would grab the lone assist. Connor Smith would add to his team leading goal total with his fifteenth of the season. Steven Szekesy and Alec Daman would assist. After one, the Bulldogs would lead 3-0.
Manny Silverio's fourth of the weekend would come at the 2:59 mark of the second period on the powerplay. Marcel Kottek an Glimpel would pick up assists. Jordan Oshowy would pick up his first of the weekend two minutes later with the lone assist going to Sam Spaedt. Donaldson would net his second of the night at the 7:00 mark of the second for a 6-0 Bulldog lead. Silverio would be awarded the only assist. Brenden Stanko would fire home his first of the weekend with only thirty-two seconds left in the period with an assist from Kottek. After two, the Bulldogs would lead 7-0.
Dan Stone would pick up his third of the series with a goal coming at the 1:48 mark of the final frame on an unassisted effort. Filip Kafka's first collegiate goal would be the final goal of the game with 4:13 remaining. Dylan Kent would be awarded the lone assist on Kafka's goal.
Final score Friday night in Ann Arbor would be 9-0 in favor of the visiting Bulldogs with Andrew Wagner picking up the shutout between the pipes.
The Bulldogs return to home ice next Thursday, November 21st when they face the Kent State Golden Flashes in the first game of the home-at-home series with the GLCHL opponent.
