#1 MD1 Sweeps Delaware


The MD1 team took on the University of Delaware this past weekend in a two game home series at Arrington Ice Arena.

Austin Kuhn kicked things off at 13:46 gone in the first period to make things 1-0 Bulldogs with assists from Tyler Fyfe and Jordan Oshowy. The Blue Hens would tie things up at the 19:24 mark of the third to even things up at 1 before the end of the first. After one, the two teams would be tied.

Dominic Moore would score the go ahead goal on the powerplay at 8:00 gone in the second on an unassisted effort. Oshowy would add a second powerplay goal with 26 seconds left in the second. Fyfe and Connor Smith would assist. After two periods of play, the Bulldogs lead 3-1.

Sam Spaedt would score the lone goal of the third and the final goal of the game at the 15:12 mark of the third period. Kyle Perkowski and Dan Stone would assist.

Final score Friday night would be 4-1 Bulldogs with Mike Barrett stopping 18 of 19 shots faced for his 3rd win of the season.

The two teams would square off at Arrington Ice Arena once again on Saturday afternoon for the final game of the series.

Marcel Kottek would send home his fourth goal of the season and the first of the game at the 4:13 mark of the first period. Kyle Perkowski and Dominic Moore would assist. Tyler Fyfe added his fifth of the season five minutes later on the powerplay with assists from Chris Donaldson and Connor Smith. Manny Silverio would add a third Bulldog goal at 10:27 gone in the first with the lone assist coming from Rainer Glimpel.

The Blue Hens would cut the Bulldog lead down to 3-1 while on the powerplay. Dan Stone would add his first of the year at the 18:14 mark of the second period with an assist from Brenden Stanko. After two, the Bulldogs held a 4-1 lead over the visiting Blue Hens.

Jordan Oshowy would add his second of the weekend with 2:14 gone in the third period of off an assist from Moore. Connor Smith would add his team leading 8th goal of the season on the powerplay two and a half minutes later. Fyfe would score his second of the night on an unassisted effort at the 8:50 mark. Mark Fratarcangeli would add the eighth and final goal of the game at the 15:14 mark, tipping a shot from the point from Steven Szekesy.

Final score Saturday afternoon would be 8-1 in favor of the Bulldogs with Mike Barrett turning away 24 of. 25 shots faced.

The Bulldogs continue their homestand this Friday night when they play the first of two home games against Liberty University. Friday night is Minor Hockey/AOTHA night, featuring free admission for youth hockey and AOTHA players.
