Women's NCAA Alumni Kristin Lewicki Joins Isobel Cup Champion Riveters
After an All-Star rookie season with the Buffalo Beauts of the NWHL, former Women's NCAA standout, Kristin Lewicki, has signed with the Metropolitan Riveters, also of the NWHL.
Lewicki, who shattered multiple career and and single season records in her time as a Bulldog, joined the Beauts last July alongside former linemates Kaylyn Schroka and Sarah Shureb. Lewicki suited up in 14 regular season games and 2 post season contests with the Beauts, tallying 5 goals and 3 assists for 8 points in 16 games played. The Beauts would go all the way to the Isobel Cup Championship game but would fall to the Riveters by a score of 1-0 back in March.
"I'm extremely excited to join the Riveters," says Lewicki, "They are a strong organization with great team chemistry on and off the ice and that's something I'm glad to be a part of now. It will definitely be neat having the chance to defend the Isobel Cup again, I'm excited to help the Riveters do that and keep the Cup in Newark. I'm just thnakful the Riveters reached out and gave me the opportunity to keep playing the game. I can't wait to get the season started with my new teammates!"
Lewicki will take the ice as a Riveter for the first time on October 6th against the newest member of the NWHL, the Minnesota Whitecaps, out in Minnesota for a two game series with the Whitecaps.
