Austyn Roudebush Named ACHA MD1 Player of the Year

Coming off of a phenomenal senior season, goaltender Austyn Roudebush was named the ACHA MD1 Player of the Year.

Roudebush went 26-0 on the season en route to the MD1 teams’s first National Championship in program history. Along the way, Roudebush would be named the GLCHL Playoff MVP and National Tournament MVP.

His senior season, Roudebush put up incredible numbers, only allowing 20 goals in 22 regular season games played. His .91 GAA and .959 SV% would lead the entire ACHA all season.

The 26-0 season would be one for the record books as Roudebush set a new team and program record for wins in a single season as well as bringing his career shutouts up to 17 for most shutouts in a career for the program as well.

Roudebush has taken home numerous ACHA and GLCHL awards in his four years as a Bulldog that include; 2015 1st Team All GLCHL, 2015 GLCHL All Rookie Team, 2016 2nd Team All GLCHL, 2018 Playoff MVP and 2018 1st Team All GLCHL. Roudebush was also named 3rd Team All American his freshman season and was one of 4 finalists for the 2015 Rookie of the Year award. Roudebush finished his career at Adrian having played 75 games and 4219:29 minutes, a 61-5 record, only 106 goals against, a 1.51 GAA, a .942 SV% and 1723 saves made. This is Roudebush’s first Player of Year nod and he becomes the second player in team history to be named Player of the Year. Fellow senior Brad Kobryn, who was one of the 4 finalists for the 2018 Player of the Year award, became the first to do so in 2015 and repeated again in 2017.
