Brad Kobryn Makes Adrian Hockey History as Bulldogs Thump Eagles

In the first game of a home-at-home series, the Bulldogs put a beating on the Eastern Michigan University Eagles.

Chris Donaldson kicked things off for the Bulldogs in his 5th goal in three games at the 6:40 mark of the first period with an assist from JP Grineau. Mark Fratarcangeli made things 2-0 Bulldogs at the 14:57 mark of the first period. Joe Costello and Jordan Oshowy would snag assists on the second Bulldog goal. After one, the Bulldogs would have the 2-0.

Things would pick up for the Bulldogs in the second period of action as they would score six goals in the middle frame. The first of six would belong to Brad Kobryn for his 231st career point to give him sole possession of the program's all time record for points in a career at the 30 second mark of the second period. The historic goal would be assisted by Dan Stone and Archie McKinnon. Costello would snag one of his own four minutes later with assists going to Marcus Rose and Marcel Kottek. Kobryn would net his second of the night at less than a minute later from Costello and Kottek. Kyle Perkowski would nab his first of the night from Stone and Donaldson at the 5:04 mark of the second period to put the Bulldogs up 6-0. Rainer Glimpel would score 15 seconds later to put the Dawgs up 7-0 with assists from Donaldson and Marcus Rose. Moore would add one last goal in the second period off of assists from Perkowski and Justin Fisher. After two, your Bulldogs led 8-0.

Oshowy would grab a goal of his own at the 11:49 mark of a chippy third period between the Bulldogs and Eagles. Mike Finger and Stone would assist. Perkowski would add his second of the night for his first career multigoal game with assists from Fisher and Cooper McLean. Donaldson would add his second of the night at the 13:06 mark of the third for his third straight two goal game of the season. Stone and Austin Kuhn would add assists. Rose would close out the scoring for the Bulldogs, sending home a goal of his own from Grineau and Steven Szekesy at the 16:26 mark of the third period. The Eagles would snap the shutout streak ten seconds later for their lone goal of the game. The final buzzer would sound and the Bulldogs would come out with the 12-1 win.

With the win, the Bulldogs clinch their sixth GLCHL Regular Season title in program history and their second straight regular season title. The Bulldogs will face the Eastern Michigan Eagles once again tonight at February 2nd at the Ann Arbor Ice Cube at 7:00pm.
