WACHA took on the Southwest Wildcats of the Provincial Women's Hockey League this Friday night as the second game of the first double header of the season at Arrington Ice Arena.
The Wildcats took the early lead in the first five minutes of the game before junior Kaillie Hardy evened the score. Hardy's goal was unassisted. The Wildcats would come back and go up by one once again before senior Lauren Hughes would tip a shot from fellow senior Marisa Sheppard at the 10:50 mark of the first to tie the game going into the first intermission.
The Wildcats would score four unanswered goals after that to take a commanding 6-2 lead with 4 gone in the final frame of the game.
Sophomore goaltenders Dana Colombo and Kalysta Coulter would split time in net for the Bulldogs in their season debut. WACHA is back in action tomorrow evening as they take on the London Devilettes at 4pm for their second of three exhibition games this pre-season.
