Bulldogs Take Home Trio of Awards at ACHA Banquet
The American Collegiate Hockey Association hosted their annual banquet tonight in Naples, Florida and the Bulldogs took home a trio of awards.
Brett Berger, WACHA Head Coach, was named Women's ACHA D1 Coach of the Year, this is Berger's first Coach of the Year Award. Berger has lead WACHA to four straight National Tournament appearances and three straight Frozen Four appearances in his three and a half seasons as head coach.
Junior forward Brad Kobryn was named ACHA Men's D1 Player of the Year for the second time in three seasons. Kobryn came in second in scoring on the MD1 team this season and is the all time leader in goals at Adrian College.
Freshman forward Marcus Rose was named ACHA Men's D1 Rookie of the Year. Rose lead the team in scoring this year, racking up over 60 points in his first year in a Bulldog sweater.
