WACHA Wins First CCWHA Regular Season Title


WACHA is getting a banner.

With their sweep of Robert Morris Illinois this past weekend, the Bulldogs have clinched the league to win the regular season title for the first time in program history.

The Bulldogs have had a remarkable season so far, defeating every league opponent that has crossed their paths to go 12-0 on league and 22-2 overall. This 22-2 record is the best in program history, topping last season's 20-6 regular season record. WACHA's offense is lead by sophomore Kaillie Hardy who has racked up 18 goals and 20 assists for 38 points. Freshman Jessica Harrison leads all defensemen in points with 9 goals and 4 assists for 13 points. Junior goaltender Alison Dungey has posted an impressive 17-1 record between the pipes while maintaining a .78 GAA and a .959 SV% so far this season.

The Bulldogs are riding a 12 game win streak as they prepare for their final home at home series of the season against Michigan State University this Thursday and Sunday.

WACHA travels to South Bend, Indiana the next weekend to the CCWHA playoffs and then onto ACHA WD1 National Tournament March 15-19th in Columbus, Ohio where they look to capture their first ever National Title.
