Alison Dungey Named CCWHA Goaltender of the Month
Adrian College W. ACHA DI team’s Alison Dungey was named the Central Women’s Collegiate Hockey Association’s Goaltender of the Month for November.
Dungey has backstopped the Bulldogs in 11 games, posting a 9-2-0 record in those 11 games, and recording 664:41 minutes in net, a .944 SV%, a 1.08 GAA, 3 shutouts, and 201 saves.
In the month of November, Dungey posted a perfect 4-0 record as the Bulldogs went undefeated. In that time, Dungey also earned one shutout against the Grand Valley State University Lakers on November 14th and only allowed 4 goals in the other 3 games.
“Dungey has been playing extremely well and has allowed us to not only compete in every game we played, but give us the edge and earn the victory,” says Women’s ACHA DI Head Coach Brett Berger, “She is a great competitor and battles hard every game she plays. We are very proud of how she is playing and how she has helped the team succeed. I am glad she had been recognized by the league for her hard work and great play.”
The Bulldogs are currently sitting atop the W. ACHA DI standings with 24 points and are ranked second in the ACHA DI power rankings. Dungey and the Bulldogs take on the Nittany Lions of Penn State on December 4th and 5th at Pegula Ice Arena in Pennsylvania to wrap up the first semester of play. The Bulldogs will return to home ice on January 22nd when they face Colorado State.
